Last night the now former Mayor Richard Kellaway handed over duties to Eileen Quick. I was only needed for a short spell at the start of ceremonies and took the opportunity to get a great group photo with Richard, James Evans the Deputy mayor as well as David and Mark in their new Macebearer’s liveries.
Dancing the Samba through the streets of Maidenhead with Richard and Mary-Lou (the former Mayoress) was an undoubted highlight of the last year for me as Town Crier and I am looking forward to finding out what this next year will bring.
Congratulations to Cllr Quick on her appointment. I know she will have a truly amazing year as Mayor of the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
