As a seasoned public speaker and local history enthusiast, I would be delighted to come and give a talk to your organisation about the role of the town crier, the history of the role and how it fits in with our local history.
Unique local speaker
In addition I will cover the curious symbolism of the livery and the strange journey that led me to becoming the royal borough’s first town crier in over a century.
There may also be mention of embarrassing TV appearances, delivering proclamations in Rajastan, India and how I got heckled at Windsor Castle by my own mayor!
The highs and lows of 2022 feature in my talks. That year saw not only the chance to deliver a proclamation to a crowd of more than 40,000 people at the Queen’s Jubilee, but also saw the reading of the Proclamation of Accession of King Charles in Windsor, a day that I will never forget.
I will of course, present my talk in full livery so not only will your event sound good, it will look great as well. If you are looking for a unique, confident and accomplished local speaker for the Windsor and Maidenhead area, please feel free to give me a call.
After Dinner Speaker
My after dinner talks are suitable for all ages and are above all, lots of fun for everyone. They typically last 45 minutes but can be altered to whatever length suits and I can stay around after the talk and answer questions if required.
I have delivered my talks to numerous educational groups, Rotary, U3A, international tour parties and social groups over the last ten years. Organisers will be pleased to hear that I don’t require any audio visual equipment and in most circumstances I would never dream of using a microphone.
If you are looking for a truly unique speaker with a heart warming and thoroughly entertaining story to tell, contact me today for availability.
