Following months of endless bitter cold, the sun finally made an appearance today and visitors flocked to Windsor in droves.

At the Guildhall Museum we were holding a 1920’s event with live jazz music, some traditional period cakes and even some (non-alcoholic) cocktails outside in the corn exchange. Indoors there were various activities for kids and adults and the staff and volunteers dressed in great period costumes.

I walked the streets delivering a cry, letting people what was going on at the Guildhall.  Met loads of lovely people from Burma, the United States, Germany, Singapore, Japan, Italy, Iran, Ireland and the UK.

Especially lovely was the request from the Martineau family from Upminster to announce Grandma’s birthday. I managed to slip birthday wishes into my cry and grandma Daphne was clearly surprised and delighted.

All in all, I had a terrific  day out.
